Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons followed the hugely successful Thunderbirds, and the popular theme tune generated a 7″ single release on the Pye label in 1967. This new 7″ single improves dramatically on the original artwork and sound. The two tracks originally released were “Captain Scarlet” and “The Mysterons Theme”, both in mono. Mastered from Barry Gray’s original tapes, “The Mysterons Theme” features a new stereo mix from the 4-track tape.
