Following on from our collectable Thunderbird 2 and ongoing Eagle models, this latest model is a stunningly authentic production of the UFO craft from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s landmark 1970 live action sci-fi drama UFO. The mysterious UFO remains one of Derek Meddings’ most iconic designs from a Gerry Anderson production and is reproduced here for fans to enjoy.
The UFO craft itself marries effective design simplicity with a menacing aura. The arrival of one or any number of these deadly machines results in Commander Ed Straker sending the forces of SHADO into action to defend the Earth against the UFO’s alien pilots. The UFO craft itself presented fresh challenges for Meddings and his special effects team when filming the series owing to its eye-catching spinning feature.
The UFO model comes with a transparent display stand and is equipped with a spinning mechanism, as well as luxury packaging with detailed schematics of the craft and a certificate of authenticity.
