Thunderbirds are go at Nottingham Puppet FestivalThis year, Nottingham is holding its inaugural puppet festival. Spread over four days the city will come to life with puppetry of every kind in all corners of the city, with an eclectic mix of performances, talks, workshops, film screenings, a pop-up puppet village and vibrant puppet parade, featuring the talents of local, national and international artists.

As part of this event, the classic 1966 movie Thunderbirds Are Go is being screened at Nottingham’s Broadway Cinema. The screening will be preceded with a talk and Q&A session from Gerry Anderson’s younger son Jamie Anderson. The talk will take at 1pm before the screening, and is a chance to find out about his father’s remarkable career and legacy.

Filmed in ‘Supermarionation’, this classic 1966 puppet adventure features the F.A.B International Rescue team preventing sabotage to Earth’s first manned flight to Mars.

The Q&A and screening start at 1pm on Saturday 24th March at the Broadway Cinema, Nottingham. Tickets can be booked directly with the cinema here.
