Huge Japanese Thunderbirds Exhibition is GO!

An enormous Japanese Thunderbirds Exhibition is currently underway at Miraikan (The Japanese National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation), Odaiba and runs until 23rd September. Thunderbirds is as popular as ever in Japan, and the exhibition is being used to help engage children with science and technology, as well as to celebrate the life and work of Gerry Anderson.

The Japanese Thunderbirds Exhibition is split into two parts. The first contains real props and replicas of puppets and models used in the show, as well as some displays showing how some of the effects in the series were created. There’s also an opportunity to take part in interactive rescues. The second half compares and contrasts Thunderbirds’ technology and innovation with those used today.

We’ll be in attendance in early August and will report back with more photos and videos soon!
