Anderson Entertainment, the entertainment company founded by Gerry Anderson, known for producing cult TV shows such as Thunderbirds, Terrahawks and Space: 1999, is pleased to announce the re-release of the incredibly popular graphic novel, Space: 1999 – To Everything That Was!
The republished and updated version of the comic is part of Anderson Entertainment’s publishing venture first launched in 2021. To Everything That Was is a gothic science fiction comic book set in the continuity of the original Space: 1999 TV series. First published in 2013, the book features specially adapted versions of various 1970s Space:1999 comic strip stories, revised and edited in such a way as to fill in the gaps between the first and second seasons of the show. Devised as an alternative to the original strips rather than any sort of replacement, fans are provided with a unique and exciting overarching narrative written by Andrew E.C. Gaska, the writer of two Planet of the Apes novels and the multiple award-winning ALIEN Roleplaying Game.
The collection is a celebration of the Space: 1999 comics of yesteryear, featuring the best of the Charlton comic series and the British Look-In issues. It also includes restored and remastered works created by comic book legends such as Gray Morrow, John Byrne, Joe Staton, and more.
The new edition of To Everything That Was includes material left out of the 2013 release. It also offers fans a first-ever look at the Space: 1999 Season 3 comic series that BLAM! Ventures was to produce. The cover for the comic was done by Chantrell and Chandra Free, the latter of whom worked from Chantrell’s original art to reformat it to fit the cover design and change the likenesses on Landau and Bain.
To Everything That Was is available for pre-order starting on Friday, February 24th, from the Gerry Anderson Store at a special pre-order price. The comic will be released in April 2023. In addition to To Everything That Was, Anderson Entertainment will also be republishing Aftershock and Awe later this year. Aftershock and Awe is based on the original Space: 1999 TV series and set in the continuity of the show. It offers fans a glimpse at an alternate history of mankind and jump-starts humanity’s eventual destiny far out in space. It will be available to pre-order in April 2023.
