Supermarionation Weekender

Picturehouse Cinemas has announced that 16 of its cinemas across the UK will be screening a special Supermarionation Weekender celebrating the puppetry technique developed by A.P. Films!

On Saturday 11th October, the new documentary Filmed in Supermarionation will be screened, whilst on Sunday 12th original Supermarionation episodes will be getting a rare big-screen outing as part of a continuous line-up of programming, hosted by Lady Penelope and Parker, and entitled This is Supermarionation. Not only will there be original episodes, there will also be a chance to see some rare archive footage – including the original advert bumpers unseen for several decades!

The episodes being screened as part of This is Supermarionation are: Stingray (Stingray), Joe 90 (Hijacked), Four Feather Falls (Gunfight on Main Street), Thunderbirds (Terror in New York City), Supercar (False Alarm), The Secret Service (More Haste Less Speed), Fireball XL5 (Space City Special) and Captain Scarlet (The Mysterons).
