This week in Gerry Anderson news!

These past seven days have gone so fast, and a lot has happened! Let’s take a look…

This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Sunday evening, and featured the first part of an interview with actor and director Sam Clemens! If you prefer to stick with traditional audio-only rather than our new and improved video format you can still catch it (and all other previous episodes) every week either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice.

Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) the Stingray crew had a visit from a pop star, in the episode Titan Goes Pop!

The Official Gerry Anderson Store is currently running a 3 for 2 offer on all t-shirts – but this weekend only! Browse the collection here.

Gerry Anderson shows feature more than just sci-fi… there’s also a hearty dose of espionage! What do you get when you combine the two? Spy-fi! Read more in a new article here.

Were you haunted by the glowing eyes of the Hood? Read more about International Rescue’s arch enemy in this week’s Thunderbirds Thursday article!

How do you prefer your Anderson; puppets or live-action? It’s a difficult question but Richard and Chris attempt to solve it in this week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast Extra!

We were sad to hear this week of the passing on April 18th of actor James Laurenson, who played Patrick Osgood in the Space:1999 episode Catacombs of the Moon. Laurenson’s long stage and screen career also included guest roles in such series as The Professionals, Hammer House of Horror, Remington Steele, Bergerac, Sharpe, Hustle, Spooks and many many more. Our thoughts go out to all who knew him.

Popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Fireball XL5‘s Whistle for Danger (May 5th 1963), Captain Scarlet‘s Attack on Cloudbase (May 5th 1968), New Captain Scarlet‘s Heist (May 7th 2005), Stingray‘s Count Down (May 9th 1965), and TerrahawksFirst Strike (May 10th 1986).

Well Joe, we’ve reached the end of the news roundup! I think the best way to celebrate is…to come to back next weekend for another one!
