Alright Joe, get into the Rat Trap – it’s time for this week’s Gerry Anderson news roundup!

This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Monday, and featured the second half of our interview with Space:1999 writer Roland Moore! If you prefer to stick with traditional audio-only rather than our new and improved video format you can still catch it (and all other previous episodes) every week either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice.

Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) the Terrahawks faced the possibility of an impostor among their ranks, in the episode Happy Madeday!

Ever wondered what the most commonly used Anderson font is? Watch this week’s FAB Facts video to find out more!

Thunderbirds is returning to British television! The series starts on Talking Pictures TV next Saturday (September 2nd) at 3PM with the show’s first episode, Trapped in the Sky. Those of you who have been watching Fireball XL5 in that timeslot will have realised that the return of International Rescue means a temporary halt to XL5‘s repeat run – but we are assured the remaining episodes will be shown later in the year!

This week saw the pre-order launch of our new bookazine, The Secrets of the Secret Service! This 100-page softback takes a look at Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s final Supermarionation series, and includes an interview with series star Gary Files and the complete Secret Service comic strip collected from the pages of Countdown comic – plus lots more! It’ll be out at the end of October – have you pre-ordered yours yet?

Our Anderson Entertainment-branded re-release of Network’s Space Patrol Blu-ray set is out now! You can order it now from the Official Gerry Anderson Store, and watch a video on our YouTube channel showing the difficulties – and eventual success – Network had in their restoration of the series!

Thunderbird 6 voice artist Geoffrey Keen’s birthday was on August 21st, while Anderson popular episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Space:1999’s Dorzak (August 25th 1977), The Protectors King Con (August 25th 1972) and Space Precinct series finale Deathwatch Conclusion (August 26th 1995).

Off to bed now Joe – but we’ll be back next weekend with another Gerry Anderson news roundup!
