It’s been another week of action and excitement from the Anderson universe – here’s everything that’s been going on!

This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Monday, and featured the final part of an interview with marathon runner and Captain Scarlet fan Lloyd Scott! If you missed this week’s episode you can catch it (and all other previous episodes) either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice!

Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) the residents of Moonbase Alpha faced disaster from within, as they take on The Séance Spectre in Space:1999!

On Wednesday this week’s FAB Fact video took a look at an unusual SHADO vehicle that was rarely seen in UFO – but what exactly was it?

Over at the Official Gerry Anderson Store the Fireball XL5 60th Anniversary Comic Anthology has now sold out as of this week! Hope you were able to pick up a copy before that happened – or else you’ll feel like a right tootie!

Speaking of Fireball XL5, did you hear the exciting news that the series is returning to British television after nearly 40 years off our screens? It’s true! Talking Pictures TV, the much-loved archive film and television channel, will begin airing the series on Saturday June 3rd at 2.35pm! More details coming soon…

Thursday was May the 4th – Star Wars Day! To celebrate the occasion we put together an article examining the influences that the Anderson universe – particularly Space:1999 – has had on the adventures from a galaxy far far away!

If you’re living in the UK it can’t have escaped your notice that this weekend is all about the king’s coronation! Not to be outdone we’ve selected five Anderson episodes relating to kings that might make suitable viewing this coronation weekend – but which one is your favourite?

Fancy hearing more from Space:1999 composer Derek Wadsworth about the inspirations for his music for the second season of the classic sci-fi show, as well as celebrating the work of Barry Gray? The Official Gerry Anderson YouTube channel has another instalment in its new archive interview feature with Derek available from today!

Born on May 2nd 1929 was Stingray and Thunderbirds voice artist Ray Barrett, while classic Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Stingray‘s Trapped in the Depths (May 2nd 1965), New Captain Scarlet’s Trap for a Rhino (April 30th 2005), Captain Scarlet’s Attack on Cloudbase (May 5th 1968), TerrahawksTwo for the Price of One (May 3rd 1986) and the very first episode of Dick Spanner! (May 3rd 1987).
