Lavender Castle Display in Somerset

Rodney Matthew has chosen the formidable settings of The Bishops Palace, Wells, Somerset for his latest exhibition ‘IONAWR’ (Welsh for ‘January’), which sees a selection of his awe inspiring artwork on display that not only includes album covers – Magnum, Nazareth, Thin Lizzy to name a few – but also pieces from his many book illustrations and DVD work.

Of added interest to Gerry Anderson fans is a small Lavender Castle display featuring artwork and stop-motion puppets from the 1997 series.

It’s very unusual to get the chance to see these concepts and characters up close, as well as a selection of other work from Rodney’s fantastic career.

Ionawr runs until 24th February at the Bishop’s Palace, Wells and you can find out more on the Ionawr event website.
