New Thunderbirds Soundtrack CD coming from Japan

Japanese Thunderbirds CD 2016

Available for pre-order now from HMV Japan is a new CD of the Thunderbirds soundtrack which is being released on April 13th.

For the first time since the original soundtrack recordings back in the 1960’s, Barry Gray’s own hand written scores have been used to create an orchestral arrangement, performed for this CD by Juni-Ichi Hirokami and the Tokyo Garden Orchestra. The score has been arranged by Gian Gamba and Alfie Pugh.

This is a unique opportunity to hear performances made from Barry Gray’s original scores and can be pre-ordered from here.

Tracks on the CD include the opening and closing theme to Thunderbirds as well as suites from Trapped in the SkyTerror in New York City, Pit of Peril, End of the Road and many more.

I've been a Gerry Anderson fan from birth, growing up on the repeats of Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlet in the early 2000's. I'm also a fan of Doctor Who and other cult TV series including The Prisoner and Danger Man. I enjoy writing on a range of topics from across the Gerry Anderson back-catalogue from behind the scenes insights to fun and entertaining reviews. In my spare time I'm also a writer and film-maker.
