Stand by for action, Anderfans! Gerry Anderson Day 2024 is fast approaching, and there’s an exciting line-up of events and releases planned for the day! Gerry Anderson Day takes place on April 14th, the year of Gerry’s birth. On this day every year, we celebrate the life and work of Gerry Anderson and his incredible filmography. Across a near 60-year career, Gerry’s work spans across numerous TV series and films, including beloved classics such as Thunderbirds, UFO, Space: 1999, and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.
The theme of this year’s Gerry Anderson Day is welcoming new fans. If you’ve only ever watched one or two Gerry Anderson series throughout your lives, haven’t watched any in years, or if you’re not familiar with Gerry’s work at all, then Gerry Anderson Day is a great way to take a welcoming deep dive into his classic worlds. If you’re a long-time fan of Gerry’s worlds and would like to introduce someone you know to his many works, then Gerry Anderson Day marks the perfect opportunity to do so!
As part of making the day accessible for as many fans old and new as possible, there will be a repeating 12-hour livestream for everyone to enjoy. This livestream will be a great chance for any new Anderfaon to be introduced to many classic series from Gerry’s worlds!
