Stingray models and the Commander Shore and Marina puppets all appeared in a Des O’ Connor sketch in the 60s. Bob Monkhouse was the man who went to Gerry Anderson to ask permission to use them and at that meeting, Gerry asked if Bob would be in the new Thunderbirds Are Go movie – the rest is history, as discussed on this week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast!
